(note: I think if I were to synergize and synthesize partnergy into photographic form this is what it would look like)
- I've just discovered that my cousin Chris has this website called "Partnergy.com", which is probably the truthiest thing I've read in a long, long, time...
- Thankfully, the O'Neal-Marion trade went through... although maybe not. The Raps get some cap space this off season, yes, but they don't get that much (since Marcus Banks is on the books for around $4.5mil). I mean, I like the Blarney-Bosh-Marion front court, but it doesn't exactly look like its a team that's going to strike fear into the hearts of... anyone... even, and especially, my alma mater's basketball team...
- Michael "Moneyball" Lewis on Shane Battier, Rockets GM Daryl Morey, and why stats make it difficult to tell how good Battier actually is. What's funny (but not ha-ha funny) is that Battier kind of seems like the antithesis of Chris Bosh. Also, if you have my copy of Moneyball I'd like it back...
- This is more an actual note to myself than anything else... listen to Arabesque again.
- Courtesy of Liz's Dad another note to self: avoid 1600 lb. bears... they will eat you (rated 14A for the photos)

Who wrote that Western basketball article? I mean, I know it was Andy Watson, but who the hell is he?
(1) I would never describe shooting 46% from the field as "sizzling."
(2) But mostly this: "Senior guard Matt Curtis (Hamilton, Ont.) was 0/4 from the line early but soon settled into his reliable rhythm.
He steeped in the second half, like a whistling kettle, with great passing and some good decision making at the defensive end to finish with 13 points, seven assists and four steals along with three defensive boards." (emphasis added)
Huh?
You don't like a trade of O'Neal, a conditional 1st round pick and Moon for 30 games of Marion and a 5 time-traded career backup PG making 5 mill per season?
Wasko: pretty awesome, huh? That's what happens when you have 9th graders write your website articles (not that I should talk, I guess).
Ack: Uhhh... yeah, its usually problematic when the best part of the deal of the deal is getting RID of a player (especially one that isn't clearing any any cap space)
